Glitter and Smoke

Good Morning Everyone!

I hope you all enjoyed your weekend. My weekend was uneventful, except for class on Saturday morning! Which was awesome...like ALWAYS. We learned all about color theory, which was actually quite interesting and a little confusing. LOL but I got the main idea, just need some extra practice. I find myself looking at everything a little differently now. Did you know that the color red is suppose to make you hungry?? Well, that explains a lot since my kitchen is decorated in red colored appliances..oops! Just another thing to blame on my bad eating habits!

I wanted to share a couple of photos from Saturdays class with you guys. :)

We had to create a color theory look based on what we learned today. We used our color wheel to guide us. I choose to do a "Secondary Triad". So I had to do a look based on the secondary colors of violet, green, and orange. Now, keep in mind that for each of those colors there is a tint, tone and shade. So, really there is 12 different colors I could of chosen from! Confused? That's okay, so was I. I would go into more detail, but then I'd be here for an hour trying to explain and wondering if I explained it right. SOOO moving on! (It really was an awesome class though.)

I choose to do an emerald green smokey eye paired with a lavender lip and a peachy cheek. (hehe peachy cheek) I was inspired by the Little Mermaid! Green tail, lavender bikini top. I was wearing my Little Mermaid scarf that day so that's probably what did it. Haha but I was very pleased how it came out! I used lavender lip tar which is awesome by the way! Obsessed with lip tar...its the best thing ever invented.

See... lip tar is awesome. Blue lips!

Okay, So I also wanted to share with you guys the look I did yesterday for work. I was very pleased with how it came out. I finally got to use my Moondust eyeshadow from Urban Decay in Zodiac! I bought it way back in July, and hadn't used it yet. If you love glitter and shimmer, this is the eyeshadow for you! Urban Decay is known for its high pigmentation, which is why I love their shadows and they definitely did not disappoint. The Emerald color is gorgeous and there is so much glitter in it! Which I LOOOVVEEE! Here is how I wore my Moondust eyeshadow.

Okay, so here's the deal. I meant to do a complete smokey eye but once I put a mixture of matte brown and black into the crease it turned into a weird smokey cat eye. I did too much brown in the crease and not enough Zodiac, but hey! I rolled with it! LOL and partly because I had to go to work and I could not do it over again. That's the great thing about makeup! You can always fix it somehow!
I also tried to wear false lashes...lets just say that that did not go over well! Its not my strong point. Those suckers are hard to get on! Don't worry, I'll get them on soon!

Unfiltered photos...sorry guys, I'm not that perfect and yellow looking. Lol.
